Itinerary:

On this trip we'll explore some of the trails north of the parking lot. We'll piece together a route starting with Snowshoe Hare, then hike to Telephone Loop, join up with Disconnect, and return on Long Distance. You may wish to bring along microspikes if things melt off any more this week, or the trail is packed down to the point that hiking is just easier. If the snow conditions change significantly, I'll be in touch.
The pace will be moderate. This outing is suitable for beginners.
No car pool is organized at this point. However, if you are coming from the city and need transportation to attend, contact me directly and I'll see what I can arrange with others that might be attending.

- good trail footwear
- additional winter layers as needed
- spare change of clothes

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Follow Highway 8 west out of town. At the Highway 22 roundabout head south towards Bragg Creek. Take the first turn into Bragg Creek, ahead of the traffic lights. You are on Balsam Avenue. Drive past the Esso Station and the malls, cross the bridge, and turn left at the the T junction. Continue for approx. 10 km till the end of the road and you'll reach West Bragg Creek parking lot. Park at the far (west) end of the parking lot. We'll meet at the warmup hut near the big trail sign.
