Itinerary:


Distance: ~20 Kms
Elevation gain: ~350m
Pace: Moderate 5-6 kms/hr

We will start at the bottom of the tram trail in the village, ski a nice gradual climb to the top of the tram trail, possibly do a loop on the lake, stop for lunch and enjoy the display of ice sculptures, then on to the Fairview trail and then a great downhill on Moraine and the bottom of the tram trail.
Pace will be slow to moderate, so if you like to go fast this event may not be for you. Suitable for advanced beginners and intermediate skiers. (Mainly green trails, but there is some blue on the Fairview section)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take Hwy 1 to the Lake Louise turnoff. At the top of the turnoff, turn left on Lake Louise Drive across the highway overpass. Turn right at the second stop sign on Sentinel Road just before the hill leading to the Chateau, and look for a large parking lot on the left side of the road across from the CPR station.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $106.40 (calculated at total Km * $0.35, effective Thursday, March 23, 2023). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Terrain Classification: This event is exempt from avalanche planning because it is on a groomed cross country trail.
