COVID-19 Questionnaire:
Participation in this event is conditional upon the acceptance and adherence to COC COVID-19 protocols (see link at the top of our home page). Failure to comply with these protocols may result in removal from this event and/or future events.

Please answer the following questions in the comments section during the sign-up process, in addition to signing the waiver:

  • Have you travelled in the last 14 days?
  • Are you showing any symptoms (fever, cough, loss of taste or smell) of COVID-19, flu or cold?
  • Have you been in contact with a confirmed or presumptive case of COVID-19, or with someone who has any symptoms of COVID-19, flu or cold?
  • Have you tested positive in the last 10 days or are you waiting for COVID-19 test results?
  • Are you associated with a setting that is currently having an outbreak and been instructed to get tested or self-isolate?
  • Have you read and understood the current restrictions that are club policy during the COVID-19 situation?


The trail winds and switchbacks steadily upwards through forest with few opportunities to catch your breath. The tree cover doesn't allow for many viewpoints along the way but the summit boasts a full panorama of prairie, foothills, and nearby peaks. Have a snack at the summit take our photos and then head back down.

Elevation gain: 775m
Distance: 13 kms return

Notes:
- We'll be moving at a steady pace.
- Microspikes or similar big spiky traction device is mandatory. No Yaktraks

- NO CARPOOL, meet at trailhead


Required Items to Bring:
- Microspikes/Similarly spiky traction devices
- Good trail lightweight footwear
- Layers as needed.
- Snacks
- 1 litre water minimum
- Personal first-aid kit
- A smile & sense of adventure :-)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Drive west on Hwy 1 from Calgary and take the Sibbald Creek Trail (Hwy 68) turnoff. Drive approx. 23km to the Powderface Trail junction turn left and drive 3km south to the Dawson Equestrian day use trailhead, park here.
