Itinerary: | |||||||
Its spring and many pathways seem to be clear
of snow now. I need to drag my bike out of
hibernation so this ride will be an easy ride
suitable for others also starting the season or
fairly new to riding.
We'll meet and head out for a couple of hours riding, exploring the pathways to the north. Zero Issue Brewing is located a short ride east of Deerfoot and we will stop there or somewhere similar for a refreshment break. This will be a relaxed pace event with a flexible schedule, and a sociable way to ride and spend a Sunday afternoon. The goal is to ride 20-30km. There is very little elevation change along the Nose Creek pathway and it is almost all city pathway. There may be short sections of snow or ice but most of the area seems to be free of snow now. Walk your bike if you encounter slippery sections and don't want to ride it. We will be staying together as a loose group and regroup periodically if we get spaced out. Weather will be re-evaluated Sunday morning and changes or cancellations sent out via email. It seems a little iffy right now but hey, this is Calgary and things change right? We won't be riding if its raining.... or snowing. | |||||||
