This event is for hikers who have recently completed some events with similar distance, elevation and pace.
Only sign up if you are willing to stay together and hike as a group.
We will be taking time to admire the views and the flowers along the way.
We are out to enjoy the day and event duration may vary. Do not be in a rush to get back to the city.

Hike Description
It’s wildflower season and Healy Pass is calling! This area is known for putting on quite a colorful display at this time of year and for that reason the hike is rated as "outstanding" by the Copelands in their book "Don't Waste Your Time in the Canadian Rockies." The plan is to follow the Healy Pass Trail from the Sunshine Parking Lot all the way to the Pass. As this is a generous Pass, we will have an extended lunch visit taking time to enjoy our surroundings. We may include the small loop through Simpson Pass on either the ascent or the return. Note: off-trail hiking is currently prohibited. We will stay on the trail at all times.

bag for dirty boots for the drive home

Head west on Hwy 1 and continue past Banff. 2km after the second Banff turnoff, take the Sunshine Village exit and follow the Sunshine Village Road 9 km to the parking lot at the base of the gondola lift
