The COC Training Program

The objectives of the Calgary Outdoor Club Training Program are to:
   a) provide educational sessions to members;
   b) raise awareness about different aspects of the outdoors
   c) increase the members' safety while enjoying their activities in the mountains    and
   d) provide everyone the opportunity to ask pertinent questions.

SESSION:

Do you know what to do if you have a problem with your bike while out on the trail? A bike can get you far from your vehicle - or any kind of road on a back country trip.
This is a very hands on workshop. If you are signing up, you must be prepared to actually learn and do these repairs yourself - Right? Be prepared to get your hands dirty.
We will be covering mainly small repairs, (flats, chain repair, etc) but also maintenance - that may have prevented the need for the repair in the first place.
You will need to bring some tools along - see list of required items to bring.

Note that following this training session, there is a riding event. Attendees to this event are welcome to join the second event but must sign up to both. With luck you won't need those new skills quite so soon.

Please only register for this event if you are serious about attending. Unreasonable last minute cancellations (2 hours or less prior to event) and no shows preventing others from attending the event will be recorded. If you are in the habit of cancelling last minute pls do not sign up. Thank you for your consideration for other COC members.
