Itinerary:
Beginner trail ride. Elbow Trail & Iron Springs are Double track/old roads with a few minor hill sections. Expect some short "hike a bike" up sections for some newer riders, descents are all rider manageable (skill dependent). There will be a short section of simple singletrack on Strange Brew from Elbow to Iron Springs, and then an "OPTIONAL" return Up & Down Snagmore singletrack for qualified riders towards the end. New riders will be brought down Elbow.

Weather is expected to be +25C, possible showers. Trails s/be largely dry & in good condition.

If group agrees we can visit Bragg Creek or Priddis for refreshments.


Required Items to Bring:
Mountain bike in good working order. Front or Full suspension.

Clothing for any weather.

Event Directions:Drive to Allen Bill Parking area on Hiway 66, west of Bragg Creek. Park in South side paved >> East lot.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $30.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, March 28, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Ride is intended as a beginner off-road Mountain Bike ride for newer riders. Experienced riders are welcome to participate, but should plan on progressing as a separate group.
