Itinerary:
Spend the night in a wilderness area learning or practicing your self-sufficiency skills (aka bushcraft, rather useful anytime you're out in the bush). We'll be playing with all sorts of gear like fire starting, campfire cooking, purifying water without the usual filters and shelter tools (saws, cord, knives etc). Learn and practice basic bushcraft (ever make your own wood spoon?). We may or may not be able to build a shelter depending on conditions at the site, bring your tent as backup. There will still be a bit of work to do setting up camp. Find out what works and what doesn't and then watch the stars overhead at night around a warm fire with a Potluck dinner and Breakfast. This is an easy peasy event. No hiking needed. Bring the kitchen sink. Beginners are welcome.

Notes:
- Co-Ed event. There will be sharing of shelters /tents.
- This is a fun anything goes event which may involve staying up for part of the night
- Definitely expect winter conditions so NO COTTON. Best is if you bring old clothing that is campfire smoke and amber resistant.
- You will need to have some basic tools as we may be foraging for firewood and shelter materials but most of the gear can be shared.
- Equipment list is listed below. You can bring a tent, tarp for your own shelter, sleep in the shelter we will try to build or just sleep in the open next to the fire. Nothing better than seeing the stars overhead. - There may or may not be a pre-trip meet for gear and clothing needed.

Distance: Nil. No hiking required. Rather spend the time practicing skills.
Elevation: nil
