What a perfect day for a hike! Mostly sunny with temps reaching around 7c and only a slight wind in the open areas.

The morning started off with 4 of us meeting at the Carpool area and then joining the other 4 at the Pine Top parking lot next to the trailhead.

The 9.5 km trail for the most part was dry and great. The snow that fell earlier in the week had already melted. Only a few small sections in the shade that had some ice. Very little people using the trail today besides us - some hikers and a few mountain bikers.

We hiked the loop counter clock wise and stopped for a quick lunch along the way. (Note for future events - there are picnic tables along the southern part of the trail that overlooks Jumpingpound Creek). Including the lunch break and a few photo stops, we were back at the parking lot in 3 hours.

Thanks to all who joined us on this hike. It was great to get out for some fresh air in the outdoors with you and hope to see you again soon.
