Write Up:You couldn't have asked for a better day. Well, you could ask, but it
would be tough to get a better day than the one we had with no winds,
warm weather, and sunny skies. Despite this being billed as a a snowshoe
event, the trail had been packed down over the last week by other hikers
and bikers, meaning we could do the entire route in microspikes. A nice
steady pace had us in the pass and eating lunch in 2.5 hours. It was
hard to remove ourselves from the sunshine, but we finally did, and were
back at the parking lot by 3:00PM. One of these days, maybe we'll
actually get to use the snowhoes we carry along. Thanks to all who came
out. It was a great group.
