Write Up:The morning temperature was a little frosty at -10C, but it warmed up
to zero as we made our way along the Boundary Ridge trail. For the
first couple of kilometers the trail was well packed from fat-tire
bike use, but later we were glad for the snowshoes. The wind became
more evident when we were more exposed along the ridge, then died out
when we made our way back into the trees. After enjoying lunch in a
sheltered spot, we joined up with Iron Horse Trail for the return
journey. Our pace was steady but not too rushed, and we managed to get
back to the parking lot a little after 1:00 PM. As we all agreed, any
time spent in the outdoors is time well spent, and today was no
exception. I look forward to our next trip out.
