Lots of people had the same idea of jumpstarting the first day of year with a ski in the mountains. The conditions were a little icy in sections but in good condition. We went about 3km past the bridge and then back through the loop by the river, stopped for lunch and then back to the gates. The downhill section was quick and an inner thigh burner.
