Write Up:What a stunning day! The weather was sunny and hot, the views were
clear and the flowers were spectacular to say the least!
We hit the meadows at their peak and there was no shortage of
photo ops. We didn't quite get to relax and lounge at the pass as
long as we might have liked - the forecast 20 km/hr winds did not
come to take away the starving and persistent mosquitoes and
horseflies, but we did take extra time to enjoy the meadows on the
walk up and down.
The early start was worth it when we returned to the parking lot
at 2:30 p.m. and found it was 32c (according to my car, at least)
and tropically humid. All the better for those flowers, right?
