Like most adventures, you head out not really knowing 100% for sure what is in store for you. A couple of us completed the WatridgeLakeSprayRiverSprayLakeLoop in the past and today we were surprised at how wide and open the river was and how much snow there was. This meant we had a tougher trek than expected. Thanks a million to our trail breakers. Our day started grey and dull but cleared up exactly when we reached the ice formation sections. The views were gorgeous from then on. It was reaffirmed that a distance of just over 13kms and a mere 250 meters of elevation gain should not be taken lightly in the winter. How fortunate are we to have such a beautiful playground so close to home. Thank you Leonard for being our driver today, we appreciate it. Thank you all for sharing this winter-wonderland wander with me and making it a fun day out there. I hope to see you on the snowshoe trails again. Andra
